PRP and Stem Cell Therapy

Falls Road Veterinary Clinic is proud to announce that we are now offering two new therapies for Osteoarthritis and Degenerative Joint Disease.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are created from your dog's own blood donation. The blood is processed to isolate the cells used in clotting (platelets) and the anti-inflammatory signals that accompany them. Their anti-inflammatory properties work directly at the site of the injection for as long as 6-12 months in dogs with mild-moderate arthritis. Oftentimes, this means decreased use of prescription NSAIDs.

PRP may benefit dogs with any of the following issues:

-Mild to moderate Osteoarthritis

-Tendon/Ligament Injuries

-Burns

-Open Wounds

Stem Cell injections use your dog's own cells to regenerate damaged tissue. Stem cells are able to become any cell in the body and can be used to treat severe Osteoarthritis and other conditions as prescribed by your veterinarian. Pet owners report up to 12 months of relief following Stem Cell Therapy for Osteoarthritis.
